What data we process and why
- Correspondence. When you write or call us (e-mail, phone, social-media messages), we process your name, contact details and the content of the conversation to answer you and to arrange your stay. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Bookings. Once online booking is available, we will process the guest’s name, contact details, stay dates, chosen cabin and add-ons, and payment status to provide the accommodation. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); invoices and accounting records: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Payments. Payments (currently for gift vouchers) are handled by the licensed payment service provider Montonio ([legal entity — confirm]). We never see or store your card or online-banking credentials; we only receive the payment confirmation. The provider processes your payment data as a separate controller under its own privacy policy.
- Running the website. Our hosting provider ([hosting provider — confirm]) keeps technical server logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Gift vouchers. When you buy a voucher you give us your name and e-mail, the recipient’s name, optionally the recipient’s e-mail, and a personal message. We use them to issue, send and later redeem the voucher, and keep the voucher code, value, balance, validity and payment status. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); the recipient’s details: our legitimate interest in delivering the gift (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- The booking calculator remembers your selection only in your own browser and never sends it to us — see the Cookie policy.
How long we keep it
- Correspondence — [e.g. 24 months after the last contact — confirm].
- Booking data — for the duration of the contract and [period — confirm] afterwards for possible claims.
- Accounting documents — as long as Lithuanian accounting law requires [confirm period].
- Gift voucher records — while the voucher is valid and [period — confirm] afterwards; payment records as long as accounting law requires.
- Server logs — [e.g. 30 days — confirm with the hosting provider].
Who receives it
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with service providers who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers: the hosting provider, the e-mail provider that delivers vouchers and messages ([confirm]), the payment provider Montonio Finance UAB ([confirm]) — which receives the amount, the order reference, your name and e-mail — our accountant, and public authorities where the law requires it. [If any provider stores data outside the EEA, list the safeguards here — confirm.]
Your rights
- to access your data;
- to have inaccurate data corrected;
- to have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
- to restrict processing;
- to data portability;
- to object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us — we reply within one month.
Complaints
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt).
